Welcome to my little corner of creativity! This page gives you a glimpse into how The Snuggle Bee came to life.

As a kid, I was always bursting with creative ideas, and my mum was my biggest cheerleader, supporting every hobby—even the ones that lasted all of a day! For my 13th birthday, she gave me my first set of knitting needles and yarn. I taught myself how to knit a simple scarf (thanks to YouTube), and while I only kept at it for a couple of months, it was probably the longest I’d ever stuck with a hobby at the time. As I got older, life got busier, and I had less time for my creative outlets.

Then came 2020. When the pandemic hit, I suddenly had a lot of free time on my hands—and I decided to revisit knitting. But this time, I also discovered something new: crocheting! Thanks to TikTok, I found a whole world of talented artists specializing in amigurumi (yes, there’s a difference between knitting and crocheting!), and I was instantly hooked.

I taught myself how to make my first little plushie—a bee! And from there, I knew my brand had to be inspired by that adorable little bee. But the real turning point for me was when I realized how much joy creating these little characters brought me. It wasn’t just about making something cute or learning a new skill—it was about connecting to a part of myself I’d lost touch with, and giving myself the time and space to create again.
I wanted to share that feeling with others. I wanted to create something that would bring joy to people, just as making these little plushies brought me joy. So, in February 2021, I finally worked up the courage to launch The Snuggle Bee. I knew it wouldn’t be easy, but I was driven by the desire to share my creations with the world—and to remind myself that it’s never too late to go after what you love.
